Great stay at the traditional hanok

Owner Uni was very nice and easy to talk to. A map of the surrounding area was given which I found useful for walking around the hanok village. It's also close to Anguk subway station and 3 palaces. Overall it was a comfortable stay!

I highly recommend Hanok Guesthouse 201. Uni is such an amazing host and her guesthouse is perfect. Everything was very clean and the basic food is available. She is more than willing to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible.

The location is perfect being just 3 minutes away from Bukchon Hanok Village, 5 minutes away from Anguk Station, 8 minutes away from Insadong Market and 6 minutes away from the Bus station. Uni is very helpful, well versed and very accommodating. Highly recommended.

Settle for a hanok stay while in korea

I always want to feel the authentic korean house that's why i booked a hanok room.it was so comfortable that i slept for 7hrs. uni was so considerate as well in our check in time

Since it is located in bukchon, the nearest bus and subway is 10mins away.no worries if you are not bringing a big luggage though

A very special experience

The host is very friendly, waiting for me to nearly 12 pm (to check-in). Rooms with partitions are very private and comfortable. The morning here is great, you can open the door and enjoy the fresh air of the early morning.

I choose a room with a bathroom in the room, but if you want to go to the WC, you have to go to the common area. The soundproofing quality of each room is quite bad (you can hear the talk, snore). You can only fry eggs here for breakfast. But overall, these are not too important things. I still feel very good here.

A little gem in the heart of Seoul - highly recommended!

Everything! My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Location was excellent - close to lots of the sights in Seoul and with easy access to the subway. The owner, Uni, was super helpful & friendly - giving directions, advice on travel/transport options etc.

There was absolutely nothing I didn't like - i couldn't fault this place at all

Located near tourist attractions. Traditional but comfortable (the property itself is photogenic). Convenience store and restaurants are nearby as well. The owner is very much accommodating and hospitable, thank you Unni! ^^

The location is great. It's easy to connect to the subway, bus station. We also can walk to the palaces and Bukchon village.

There was mosquitos sometimes.

A typical Korean hanok hotel if that's what you want.

Good location...in the center, near the old house area, but very convenient for the good Seoul metro network, for the Palaces, for getting in and out of the city. I wanted to stay in a traditional Korean house, and this was the only one I found easy to book internationally (on booking.com). Its a typical example. The owner is absolutely delightful and it is indeed a traditional Hankok.

The rooms are very small, and toilets and showers are in the courtyard. There are only 4 rooms with 2 showers, so being busy wasnt a problem, but the toilets/showers are very simple. We were unlucky to fall on Chinese girl tourists who never stopped talking, who didnt realise that noise is a big problem in this kind of place.....frankly I think 1 night to have an idea of how these places are would have been enough rather than the 3 nights we spent; we could have spent the other two nights in a reasonable hotel for the same price. Breakfast is do-it-yourself (toast and eggs). It is not a good neighbourhood for eating in the evening...last orders are at 20h (or in exceptional cases at 2030) and all bars want you to order cooked chicken or things like that if you want a beer. Suitable really only for "ethnic" tourists.

VEry nce ghuest house hanok, i enjoyed the simple facilities, hot water shower, access to kitchen for breakfast. All was perfect
